About the Exams

The Psychiatry Resident-In-Training Examination^® (PRITE^®)

The Psychiatry Resident-In-Training Examination (PRITE) is an educational resource designed for psychiatry residents. PRITE consists of approximately 300 questions and is administered in two parts. Each section of the exam focuses on a particular component of psychiatry.

PRITE exams from previous years can be used as study aides and are available for purchase by psychiatry residents and to those who have completed their psychiatry residency. Exams from the previous five (5) years are available online.

Test-takers receive immediate feedback on each item, with references to support and explain correct answers. At the conclusion of each purchased exam they also receive a detailed computer analysis of their test performance, indicating areas that may warrant further study.

Once they purchase PRITE, test-takers have one year to complete the exam, returning to the test as often as they'd like during that time period.

The CHILD Psychiatry Resident-In-Training Examination^® (CHILD PRITE^®)

The CHILD PRITE, is designed for child Fellows. Its approximately 200 questions survey child and adolescent psychiatry issues in depth.

CHILD PRITE exams from previous years can be used as study aides and are available for purchase by psychiatry residents and fellows and by those who have completed their training. Exams from the previous five (5) years are available online.
